COASTAL MANAGEMENT
The Lang Lang Foreshore Reserve is on the traditional lands of the Boon Wurrung (Bunurong) people of the Kulin Nation. It is Crown land permanently reserved for the purpose of the ‘protection of the coastline’ under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978, and public land for the enjoyment and benefit of the people of Victoria. The Dept. of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) act as land owners, and appoint a volunteer Committee of Management as land managers.

We regularly work with the wonderful teams, experts and volunteers from Bass Coast Landcare Network and the Bass Valley Landcare Group on weed and invasive species control, and re-vegetation with indigenous plants.
Further information about the Reserve can be found here, including about its heritage and culture, a map, information on our heritage overlay, copies of our coastal management plans, and environmental adaptation planning efforts.
